Job Description / Responsibility
- Accounts Officer (Finance & Accounts) will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of the Finance and Accounts department.
- He needs to implement and oversee all activities relating to the financial aspect in compliance with accounting frameworks as well as statutory obligations, local tax law, and organizational existing SOPs.
- In addition, he will be responsible for the financial analysis, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, auditing and controlling, assets and liabilities reconciliation, working capital and cash control with safekeeping and updating of all financial documentation Monitoring the day-to-day activities among the team members.
- To design policies and procedures according to the accounting framework.Overall in charge of updating accounts, budget preparation, forecasting, and financial & management reporting.
- To ensure optimum utilization of funds and cash management through proper cash flow analysis.
- Leading and upgrading team members by ensuring proper training and counseling.To adopt planning and budgeting for agencies and principals.
- Handling all legal issues relevant to the vessel and agency-related matters.
- Handling the "Central Bank Issues" in respect of remittance and necessary permission requirements.
- To adopt and maintain the company ERP system as per company policy.
- Ensure monthly financial accounting reports (Trial Balance, Income statement, Balance sheet, and statement of cash flows)
- To supervise and monitor credit realization (Accounts Receivables) within the agreed payment deadlines.Comply with the rules of BIDA and RJSC respectively.
- Deal with the matters related to the customs, port, and tax authorities' implications in the case of local and foreign companies in BD.
- To ensure reporting on monthly accounts including Trial Balance, P&L, and Balance sheet by the 5th of the following month.
- To adopt monthly auditing of total accounts and reporting to the management.
- All other accounting & finance Works as and when required.
Educational Requirements
- Master of Commerce (MCom) in Accounting
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Accounting
- Master of Business Management (MBM) in Accounting
- Master of Commerce (MCom) in Accounting & Information System
Experience Requirements
- 3 to 5 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
- Manufacturing (FMCG), Shrimp, Agro based firms (incl. Agro Processing/Seed/GM), Poultry, Fisheries, Farming, Livestock, Animal/Plant Breeding, Hatchery, Dairy
