Job Description / Responsibility
- Job Context:
- Bir Metal Engineering & Manufacturing Co. Ltd. is a Chinese Joint Venture Hardware manufacturing company in Bangladesh. The Factory is located in Daulatpur, Board Bazar, Gazipur. The overall purpose of the Plant Manager role is to oversee the overall production & operational activities of the plant. The incumbent should have the Knowledge of Factory Operation like Punch Machine, Hydraulic/Power/Manual Press Machines and Metal Mould related experience.
- Job Responsibilities:
- Provide overall direction to production floor employees in the areas issues (of production, scheduling, performance management, training and other related areas striving to improve overall operational efficiencies;
- Establish realistic and challenging production target and communicating with foreman, operators and machinist;
- Establish production target/ goals and implement the strategic and tactical objectives as necessary for the plant to reach goals.
- Provide an atmosphere of continuous improvement, such as 5S methods in the production floor.
- Troubleshoot production related issues/ bottle-neck to production lines (mould or machine problems) by maintaining the minimal downtime.
- Create production shifts by utilizing the optimum capacity of man-machine and respond to seasonality issues by adjusting headcount, workload or shifts wise accordingly.
- Preparation daily production report in accordance with daily & monthly production target.
- Monitor daily production performance of each section and report time-to-time to senior management;
- Work closely with the Senior Management Team to maintain a safe and highly efficient manufacturing environment;
- Review methods, processes, cost, labor, and machine utilization and recommending more efficient and economical methods and techniques;
- Plan efficiently for raw materials and accessories and always maintain a sufficient level of raw materials in stock.
- Communicate with the management time-time/ report to the management on weekly or monthly basis & forecasting stocks in line with the production plan.
- Performing additional duties commensurate with the current role as assigned by the management.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Mechanical Engineering
Experience Requirements
- 8 to 10 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
- Manufacturing (Light Engineering and Heavy Industry), Group of Companies
Additional Job Requirements
- Age 35 to 40 years
- Should have strong communication skill both in English and Bangla (Spoken & Written Skills).
