Job Description / Responsibility
- 1. **Production Planning and Coordination**: - Develop and implement production schedules to ensure timely completion of orders. - Coordinate with various departments (knitting, dyeing, finishing, quality control) to align production goals.
- 2. **Resource Management**: - Manage resources, including manpower, machinery, and materials, to optimize production efficiency. - Ensure adequate inventory levels of raw materials and components required for knitting and dyeing processes.
- 3. **Process Oversight**: - Oversee the entire textile production process from knitting through dyeing to finishing. - Monitor production processes to ensure they comply with established quality standards and efficiency targets.
- 4. **Quality Control**: - Implement quality control measures to maintain high standards in knitted fabrics and dyed products. - Conduct regular inspections and assessments of production output, identifying areas for improvement.
- 5. **Technical Expertise**: - Provide technical guidance and support for knitting, dyeing, and finishing techniques. - Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to improve production processes.
- 6. **Team Leadership**: - Supervise and mentor production staff, ensuring they are trained in operational procedures and safety protocols. - Foster a positive working environment to enhance team productivity and morale.
- 7. **Troubleshooting and Problem Solving**: - Identify and resolve production-related issues related to machinery, processes, or quality. - Develop and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence of production problems.
- 8. **Cost Management**: - Monitor production costs and work to ensure operations remain within budget. - Propose strategies for cost savings through process improvements, waste reduction, and efficient resource use.
- 9. **Compliance and Safety**: - Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the production area. - Develop and enforce safety protocols to prevent workplace accidents.
- 10. **Collaboration with Design and Sales**: - Work closely with the design team to ensure product feasibility and manufacturability. - Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to understand customer requirements and adjust production priorities accordingly.
- 11. **Reporting and Documentation**: - Maintain accurate production records and generate reports for management review. - Analyze production data to identify trends and inform decision-making.
- 12. **Sustainability Initiatives**: - Implement sustainable practices within the production process to reduce environmental impact. - Explore innovative technologies and methods for eco-friendly dyeing and finishing.
- 13. **R&D and Innovation**: - Participate in research and development activities to improve existing products and processes. - Test and evaluate new materials, dyes, and finishing techniques for potential adoption.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Textile Technology, Master of Science (MSc) in Textile Technology
Experience Requirements
- 10 to 20 years
