Job Description / Responsibility
- Context: The Finance Manager will lead the overall financial planning, reporting, and control functions of vivo’s Sub-Brand operations. This role is responsible for budgeting, cost management, financial analysis, compliance, and ensuring accurate accounting practices to support strategic decision-making. The position requires strong analytical capability, business acumen, and hands-on experience managing finance in a fast-paced retail or distribution environment.
- Responsibilities
- Financial Planning & Control
- Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans aligned with business objectives.
- Monitor revenue, expenses, and profitability to ensure cost efficiency.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable financial insights to management.
- Develop financial strategies to improve cash flow and operational performance.
- Accounting & Reporting
- Oversee daily accounting operations including AP, AR, GL, and reconciliations.
- Ensure accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
- Maintain proper books of accounts following company policies and accounting standards.
- Prepare management reports, MIS, and dashboards for business review.
- Compliance & Governance
- Ensure compliance with Bangladesh tax regulations, VAT, and statutory requirements.
- Coordinate audits (internal/external) and maintain required documentation.
- Strengthen internal controls and risk management processes.
- Ensure adherence to corporate financial policies and procedures.
- Cash Flow & Treasury
- Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and fund utilization.
- Monitor working capital, inventory financing, and payment cycles.
- Optimize financial resources to support smooth business operations.
- Business Support
- Support management with financial modeling, investment analysis, and pricing decisions.
- Evaluate new projects, expansion plans, and ROI analysis.
- Partner with HR, Sales, and Operations teams for financial guidance.
- Team Management
- Lead and supervise the finance & accounts team.
- Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide training and development.
- Foster a culture of accuracy, accountability, and efficiency.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor/Honors
- Masters
- Bachelor`s or Master`s degree in Accounting/Finance
- CA (CC/Part qualified), CMA will prefer more
Experience Requirements
- 6 to 8 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Mobile Industry
