Job Description / Responsibility
- Applications are invited from energetic, self-motivated and experienced candidates for the position of Deputy Director, IAHS-H on the prevailing terms and conditions.
- Job Responsibilities
- Supporting Hospital Director to ensure smooth day to day operation.
- Assisting in planning, organizing, and directing hospital operations.
- Supporting the development and implementation of hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Monitoring and evaluating hospital performance metrics (e.g., patient flow, efficiency, costs).
- Ensuring cross-departmental collaboration for optimal patient care and resource utilisation.
- Helping to resolve interdepartmental conflicts or issues.
- Assisting in recruitment, training, and evaluation of hospital staff.
- Overseeing staffing levels to ensure proper coverage without excessive costs.
- Promoting staff development, morale, and retention initiatives in coordination with HR.
- Assisting with budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting.
- Ensuring adherence to healthcare regulations, safety standards, and accreditation requirements.
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives and audits.
- Monitoring infection control and patient safety programs.
- Contributing to short- and long-term hospital planning.
- Monitoring patient feedback and satisfaction levels.
- Working with clinical teams to resolve patient concerns.
- Ensuring a high standard of patient-centered care.
- Supporting hospital preparedness for emergencies (eg pandemics, natural disasters).
- Serving as a key person during crises in the absence of the Director.
- Acting as a liaison between hospital leadership and external stakeholders (e.g., government agencies, vendors, partners).
- Executing any other duties assigned by the authority.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery(MBBS)
- MBBS with excellent academic records and a certification in family medicine, or emergency care, or occupational health
- Or
- Master Degree/MBA from recognised university.
Experience Requirements
- At least 7 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Hospital
Additional Job Requirements
- Age At least 35 years
- Good managerial and organizational skills, as well as excellent medical knowledge and training,
- Experience:
- The incumbent must have at least 7 years of experience out of which 4 years in Medical Service Administration in HealthCare Industry.
- Retired personnel from Armed Forces with medical background are also encouraged to apply for the position.
