Job Description / Responsibility
  • Coordinate with customs officials to ensure timely clearance of goods.
  • Handle submission of required documents, including Bills of Entry, invoices, and permits.
  • Resolve discrepancies or disputes that arise during inspections.
  • Verify the accuracy and completeness of shipping and customs documents.
  • Ensure all necessary permits, licenses, and certifications are in place.
  • Stay updated on Bangladeshi customs laws, tariffs, and duty structures.
  • Ensure all goods comply with import/export restrictions and trade policies.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between the company and customs officials.
  • Collaborate with port authorities, transporters, and other stakeholders to expedite processes.
  • Handle on-the-spot issues, including valuation disputes, duty adjustments, or other challenges.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to higher management when necessary.
  • Maintain detailed records of all customs transactions and clearance processes.
  • Provide regular updates on the status of shipments to the operations team.
