Job Description / Responsibility
- Export Operations
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor export shipments to ensure on-time delivery as per buyer and LC requirements.
- Handle end-to-end export documentation including Invoice, Packing List, EXP Form, GSP/CO, Bill of Lading, and other buyer-specific documents.
- Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping lines, airlines, and clearing & forwarding (C&F) agents.
- Ensure compliance with Bangladesh export regulations, customs rules, and international trade laws.
- Buyer & Bank Coordination
- Coordinate with foreign buyers regarding shipment schedules, documentation, and compliance requirements.
- Maintain close communication with banks for export LC checking, negotiation, and realization of export proceeds.
- Ensure timely submission of export documents to banks for negotiation.
- Compliance & Regulatory Matters
- Ensure adherence to BGMEA/BKMEA, EPB, Customs, and Bangladesh Bank rules related to exports.
- Manage bonded warehouse documentation and compliance in coordination with customs and internal teams.
- Ensure export activities comply with social, safety, and buyer compliance standards.
- Internal Coordination
- Coordinate with Merchandising, Production, Quality, and Commercial teams to align shipment plans.
- Monitor production status to ensure shipment readiness as per confirmed schedules.
- Resolve shipment-related issues, delays, or discrepancies promptly.
- Reporting & Records
- Maintain accurate export records, shipment registers, and statutory documents.
- Prepare periodic export status reports for management.
- Support internal and external audits related to export activities
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor/Honors
- Masters
- Graduate/Post Graduate in any discipline form any reputed university
Experience Requirements
- 7 to 10 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Garments
Additional Job Requirements
- Age At most 40 years
- Minimum 07-10 years of experience in Export/Commercial roles within the RMG sector.
- Minimum 2/3 years’ experience as a Manager in relevant field.
- Proven experience in handling export shipments to EU, USA, UK, and other international markets
- In-depth understanding of RMG export processes and international trade practices.
- Strong knowledge of export procedures, documentation, and LC terms.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
- Good communication skill in both English and Bangla.
- Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems
