Job Description / Responsibility
- Job Location: Head office Paltan. Dhaka.
- Job Responsibilities:
- Applicant should have ability to sourcing product, negotiate, import and market operation independently.
- Research and select reliable suppliers for the company`s import needs.
- Negotiate favorable terms with suppliers, including prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure that imported goods meet the company`s standards.
- Prepare and submit necessary import documents, such as invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading.
- Work closely with these parties to ensure smooth and efficient import operations.
- Monitor shipments and ensure that goods arrive on time and in good condition.
- Resolve any problems that arise during the import process, such as customs delays or discrepancies in documentation.
- Keep abreast of changes in import laws and regulations, and ensure that all import activities comply with these regulations.
- Understand and comply with all relevant customs procedures and requirements.
- Keep detailed records of all import transactions, including documentation, costs, and compliance information.
- Develop strong relationships with suppliers to ensure a reliable supply chain.
- Maintain open communication with these parties to ensure smooth operations.
- Communicate with customs authorities and other relevant organizations to ensure compliance.
- Generate reports on import activities, costs, and compliance.
- Contribute to the development of import strategies and plans.
- Sourcing new items according to the demand of Bangladesh Market. Apply most cost effective strategy.
- Identify, evaluate, and build relationships with reliable international and local suppliers.
- Secure favorable pricing, terms, and contracts for materials/products.
- Develop sourcing strategies, conduct market analysis, and implement cost-reduction initiatives.
- Process purchase orders, manage inventory levels, and align with production needs.
- Prepare, review, and validate all import documents (LC, Bill of Lading, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with Bangladeshi customs, NBR, BSTI, and international trade laws.
- Handle Letter of Credit (LC) operations, including opening, amendment, and payments.
- Coordinate with banks, C&F agents, shipping lines, and ports for clearance and delivery.
- Manage import VAT, duty, and other government levies.
- Work with production, finance, and sales teams.
- Maintain strong ties with banks, suppliers, freight forwarders, and authorities.
- Identify and resolve issues arising from unexpected circumstances, ensuring supply chain resilience.
- Track supplier performance, delivery times, quality, and costs.
- Use data to provide insights, improve strategies, and report to management.
- Any other task assign by the management.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor/Honors
- Masters
- BA / B. Com /BBA/BMA/ Masters of any reputed university (Any Course in Marketing will get preference)
