Job Description / Responsibility
- Lead and mentor the Garment Tech team to ensure a high level of technical expertise and consistency across all developments.
- Follow up on all technical aspects of the style from initial concept to final delivery.
- Ensure timely clarification of styles and accurate setup of tech packs, specifications, patterns, and BOM.
- Oversee all garment construction techniques and ensure alignment with design aesthetics and manufacturing capabilities.
- Provide expert guidance to ensure proper pattern development, garment fit, construction, and sizing across all product categories.
- Ensure the correct embellishment applications are specified and accurately developed up to bulk handover stage.
- Finalize and approve key technical parameters such as specifications, fit, design, construction, machinery requirements, and materials during all fit stages.
- Ensure all development milestones are met in line with the critical path, with accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintain proactive follow-up with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely submission and approvals.
- Ensure all samples are made using correct materials and construction, and are aligned with the latest approved tech packs.
- Ensure accurate technical input into cost sheets including construction methods, stitch types, and machinery requirements.
- Support teams in identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or design.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Textile Engineering
Experience Requirements
- 8 to 12 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Garments
