Job Description / Responsibility

About Us
Ocean Gate Ltd. is a reputed sweater liaison office in Bangladesh, specializing in high-quality sweater production with innovative designs and sustainable materials.
The Role
We are looking for a dynamic, result-oriented Merchandising Manager to lead one of our sweaters merchandising divisions.
Employment Type: Full-time, 5 days a week
Key Responsibilities
Lead the entire merchandising process for sweater products.
Manage, animate, and develop the merchandising team.
Plan and monitor yarn sourcing, dyeing, and delivery schedules.
Coordinate with design, planning, production, and commercial teams for smooth execution and on-time shipments.
Oversee sample approvals (fit, size set, PPS, TOP) and ensure all materials are in-house before bulk production.
Track production (knitting, linking, washing, finishing) to prevent bottlenecks and maintain quality.
Manage buyer communications, queries, and approvals promptly.
Implement process improvements and ensure compliance with all standards.
Provide regular updates and risk assessments to senior management.

Educational Requirements

Bachelor of Science (BSc)

Experience Requirements

At least 8 years
The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Garments, Buying House, Sweater Industry

Additional Job Requirements

Age 36 to 46 years
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 8 years of experience in sweater merchandising, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
Proven track record of managing the end-to-end merchandising process.
