Job Description / Responsibility
- Job Context
- A reputed 100% Export Oriented CAP’s/HAT’s and All Kinds of Knit garments manufacturing Company located at Gazipur is looking for an enthusiastic professional who can Manage the documents of Accounts & Finance with VAT/TAX and Audit. The candidate has to lead the TAX and VAT function by ensuring 100% compliance with Bangladesh`s financial laws, optimizing tax liabilities through strategic planning, and representing the company before NBR authorities.
- Job Responsibilities
- Oversee accounting and financial operations of Business in Compliance with statutory, TAX and industry regulation.
- Manage daily accounting functions including general ledger, AP/AR, inventory, and fixed assets.
- Handle accounting and settlement of LATR/LC, import purchases, customs duties, and bank charges.
- Ensure accurate product costing covering raw materials, packaging, overheads, and batch-wise analysis.
- Ensure accurate recording of vouchers, bank transactions, journal entries, and sales collections.
- Coordinate budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for production, sales, and operating expenses.
- Ensure accurate recording of vouchers, bank transactions, journal entries, and sales collections.
- Monitor receivables, maintain credit control, and support timely collections.
- Ensure compliance with VAT Registers, TDS/VDS, and other taxes, including returns, Mushak forms, and NBR requirement.
- Supervise the Deduction of VAT at Source (VDS) and ensure Mushak certificates.
- Ensure accurate Tax Deduction at Source (TDS) as per the Income Tax Act 2023.
- Oversee the preparation and filing of Monthly/Annual Withholding Tax Returns and the Annual Corporate Tax Return.
- Prepare detailed Landed Cost Sheets by calculating Customs Duty (CD), Regulatory Duty (RD), Supplementary Duty (SD), and Advance Tax (AT) for imported raw materials.
- Coordinate with the Commercial team to ensure that VAT and Duty exemptions are correctly reflected in the books.
- Act as the primary point of contact for External Auditors and NBR Officials during annual Tax/VAT audits, hearing & appeal matters, investigations, and show-cause notices.
- Lead and supervise accounting staff, ensuring strong internal controls.
- Any other assignment not specifically mentioned above that the Management deems necessary.
