Job Description / Responsibility

Animal Health Care
Conduct routine health check-ups for all farm animals.
Diagnose diseases and provide appropriate treatment and medication.
Perform minor surgeries and emergency medical care when necessary.
Monitor animal behavior and physical condition to detect health issues early.
Preventive Health Programs
Develop and implement vaccination schedules.
Conduct regular deworming and parasite control programs.
Monitor disease outbreaks and ensure quick response to prevent spread.
Biosecurity & Hygiene
Implement strict farm biosecurity protocols.
Ensure proper sanitation and hygiene in animal housing areas.
Manage quarantine procedures for new or sick animals.
Breeding & Reproduction
Assist in breeding programs and reproductive management.
Conduct pregnancy diagnosis and monitor reproductive health.
Support artificial insemination programs if applicable.
Nutrition & Productivity
Monitor animal nutrition and feeding programs.
Provide recommendations to improve growth, milk/meat production, and overall performance.
Maintain records of:
Animal health and treatments
Vaccination schedules
Mortality and disease reports.
Medication usage
Staff Training & Supervision
Train farm workers on proper animal handling and welfare.
Guide staff on early disease detection and hygiene practices.

Educational Requirements

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM)
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree.
Registered with the Bangladesh Veterinary Council.
Experience in livestock or dairy farm operations preferred.
