Job Description / Responsibility
- The Business Intelligence (BI) Developer will be responsible for interpreting the business needs and for documenting and developing the reporting analytics that meet those needs. This includes the design, development, maintenance, integration, and modeling. The role requires the candidate to be capable to see projects from inception to completion with little or no supervision while producing a highly efficient and correct solution;
- Extract, transform and load data from various sources into Snowflake database
- Support BI Analysts and other departments with data integration requests
- Review, understand, interpret, and transform clearly defined technical specifications into data warehouse, database and/or business intelligence solutions
- Code, maintain, test and provide code reviews for developed processes and procedures (e.g. queries, scripts, stored procedures, database objects, indices, triggers, etc.)
- Strong performance tuning knowledge in SQL and ability to interpret plans, identify bottlenecks in queries and remediate them
- Work proactively to solve issues and problems
- Create use cases and assist in UAT testing efforts for the developed solutions
- Document, effectively track and resolve issues in a timely manner during the development and testing phases (work with the team and end users as appropriate)
- Review and document performance
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science & Engineering
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering
Experience Requirements
- At least 5 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): BPO/ Data Entry Firm, Garments, IT Enabled Service, Multinational Companies, Textile, Manufacturing (FMCG), Software Company, Supply Chain, Telecommunication
Additional Job Requirements
- Age At least 25 years
- Data Warehouse and ETL related development.
- Use of Data Modeling, Database Query Optimization and Data Access techniques and concepts.
- Strong understanding of concepts and techniques for design, development and implementation of ETL and data quality.
- Experiences on DevOps (GIT, Jenkins, Sonar).
- Database knowledge in areas of import and export, users, roles, privileges, schema and object management, session monitoring, etc.
