Job Description / Responsibility

Must have experience in Horticulture, who shall be in administration of a commercial nursery, preferably in a tropical or sub-tropical desert area.
Should have the experience in a wide variety of gardening and landscaping work such as earth removal, pruning, procurement and propagation of plants for gardening and landscaping use, planting of and caring of grass, shrubs and trees, preparation of flower and vegetable beds, potting, fertilizing and controlling of pests and plant diseases.
Should be familiar with the new varieties of flowers, as well as spring and summer bulbs, herbs and vegetables and have the ability to present advice and recommendation in a clear and effective manner.
Plant Care & Maintenance: Grow, water, prune, fertilize, and monitor the health of plants in nurseries, greenhouses, or outdoor gardens.
Soil and Nutrient Management: Test soil, analyze pH levels, and optimize nutrient levels for healthy plant growth.
Pest and Disease Control: Identify, diagnose, and treat plant diseases and pests using integrated pest management, including natural or chemical methods.
Landscape Design & Installation: Plan and install trees, shrubs, and floral displays for public parks, private gardens, or commercial projects.
Propagation & Breeding: Use cuttings, seeds, or grafting to create new plant varieties and increase production.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of plant inventory, growth rates, and health assessments.
Equipment Operation: Safely use and maintain agricultural machinery, hand tools, and power equipment.
Staff/Volunteer Supervision: Train and direct staff or volunteers in proper gardening and maintenance techniques.

Educational Requirements

Bachelor of Science (Pass) in Agriculture

Experience Requirements

At least 5 years
The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Real Estate, Overseas Companies, Group of Companies, Agro based Startup, Agro based firms (incl. Agro Processing/Seed/GM)
