Job Description / Responsibility
- Job Context: The Assistant Fashion Designer (Sweater Product) will support the sales, design, marketing & merchandise team in driving and interpreting the design support requirements into reality. The role requires strong attention to detail, trend research & analysis, create design, and the ability to assist in various stages of product development, creating product presentation, tech pack design & product digitizing. The Design Assistant will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Design, Marketing & Merchandising etc. to ensure cohesive and high-quality assistance support execution.
- Job Responsibilities:
- Supporting (Sales, Design, Marketing & Merchandise Team): Provide administrative and creative support to sales, design, marketing & merchandise team, including preparing trend analysis report, concept boards, sketches, tech packs, and color stories tailored for clients. Collaborate on marketing campaigns by interpreting design insights, product highlights, and contributing visuals that align with marketing themes.
- Sketching & Design Assistance: Create/Interpret sketches and technical drawings under the guidance of relevant team; contribute ideas and modifications to enhance designs. Prepare design for print and embroidery as well.
- Making Product Presentation: Assist in preparing visually appealing presentation decks that highlight product features, trends, and design inspirations, making it easier for the sales, design and marketing teams to communicate with clients.
- Digital Catalogs and Lookbooks: Assist in creating lookbooks, catalogs, and other marketing materials to visually represent the design collections, enhancing brand identity. Help to display seasonal collections and best-sellers, complete with high-quality images and detailed descriptions for client presentations.
- Product Development: Translate design concepts and sketches into commercially viable products. Coordinate and monitor the sampling process in alignment with buyer requirements, technical specifications, and quality standards. Ensure timely submission of development samples to customers and follow up on feedback for necessary revisions.
- Material Sourcing: Support material sourcing activities by leveraging strong supplier networks for yarns, trims, accessories, and decorative components. Ensure materials meet buyer specifications, quality standards, cost targets, and development timelines to achieve customer satisfaction.
- Documentation & Record-Keeping: Maintain design records, sketches, product presentations, technical sheets, and updates for each design project to ensure smooth communication with the relevant team.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with the sales & design teams for design assistance based on necessity & feedback and support the merchandising team in aligning design support tasks with customer requirements.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Fashion Designing
- BGMEA University of Fashion Technology,Shanto Mariam University of Creative Technology,Bangladesh University of Textiles students will get preference
- Professional Certificate/Trainings on CLO 3D Designing

- 1 to 5 years
