BOQ Engineer (Estimation Engineer)

Job Description / Responsibility

Prepare detailed Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for residential, commercial, and mixed-use real estate projects.
Perform quantity take-off from architectural, structural, and MEP drawings as per approved design.
Prepare project cost estimates during feasibility and budgeting stage.
Develop cost plans and preliminary budgets for new developments.
Review and verify contractor BOQ submissions and quotations.
Prepare tender documents, BOQ, and comparative statements for contractor selection.
Evaluate variation orders (VO) and additional work claims.
Verify contractors’ running bills and final bills based on site measurement.
Coordinate with design, planning, procurement, and site teams to ensure accurate costing.
Monitor project cost against approved budget and report cost variance.
Assist in material quantity planning and cost control for ongoing projects.
Maintain updated records of quantities, rates, and project cost database.
Ensure compliance with company standards, contract terms, and project specifications.
Support management with cost analysis and financial forecasting of projects.

Educational Requirements

Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Civil Engineering
Master of Science (MSc) in Civil Engineering

Experience Requirements

At least 5 years
