Job Description / Responsibility
- Deshi Consumer Products Limited, a concern of Taha Group, is a well-reputed and rapidly expanding business conglomerate in Bangladesh, engaged in manufacturing consumer goods and import-based operations. As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a competent and detail-oriented professional to lead our internal audit and costing function. The Manager – Internal Audit and Costing will be responsible for evaluating internal controls, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and company policies, and supporting management through independent and objective assurance activities.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Internal Audit Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement annual internal audit plans based on risk assessment.
- Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal control systems.
- Conduct financial, operational, and compliance audits across all departments.
- Review accounting records, ERP systems, inventory management, and procurement processes.
- Identify control weaknesses and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare audit reports with findings, risk assessments, and actionable recommendations.
- Monitor implementation of audit recommendations and follow up on corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory requirements, and applicable laws.
- Assist management in fraud detection and investigation when required.
- Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory authorities.
- Costing Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain standard costing systems.
- Analyze material, labor, and overhead costs to ensure cost efficiency.
- Conduct product costing and variance analysis.
- Monitor budget utilization and perform cost control analysis.
- Prepare cost reports for management decision-making.
- Review pricing structures and recommend cost optimization strategies.
- Analyze production costs and operational performance indicators.
- Ensure proper inventory valuation and reconciliation.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Provide financial insights to improve profitability and operational performance.
Educational Requirements
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Accounting
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance
- Professional certification such as CA (CC/Part Qualified), ACCA, CMA, or CIA will be given preference.
Experience Requirements
- 6 to 10 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Group of Companies, Manufacturing (FMCG)
Additional Job Requirements
- Age 25 to 40 years
- Only Male
- Working Experience:
- Minimum 6–10 years of relevant experience in internal audit, external audit, or finance.
- Experience in manufacturing/trading/ERP-based environment will be considered an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, internal controls, and regulatory compliance.
- Skills Required:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent report writing and communication skills.
- Leadership and team management capability.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office applications.
- High level of integrity and professional ethics.
