- Job Summary:

- Muslim Hands has been operating in Bangladesh since 1995, focusing on improving the lives of vulnerable communities through interventions in Education, Health, Food Security, Livelihoods, Shelter, WASH, Religious Infrastructure and Emergency Relief.
- Muslim Hands School of Excellence, Sylhet, a part of our Education Programme, is currently seeking an energetic, motivated, and dedicated Assistant Teacher - Physical Education to join our academic team. The position of Assistant Teacher (Physical Education) is proposed to support delivering engaging, safe, and inclusive physical education classes. The role assists in planning and conducting activities, demonstrating skills, providing individualized guidance, and ensuring full student participation. This position enhances student engagement, improves safety and supervision, promotes fitness and teamwork, and supports holistic development through better-organized PT sessions.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Physical Education Instruction:
- Assist the Physical Education teacher in planning, organizing, and delivering engaging and age-appropriate physical education classes for students from primary to secondary levels.
- Demonstrate proper techniques for various sports, exercises, and physical activities, ensuring students understand and perform movements correctly and safely.
- Lead warm-up sessions, fitness drills, and cool-down exercises during PT periods.
- Student Engagement & Individualized Support:
- Provide individualized guidance and support to students who may struggle with certain activities, ensuring every child can participate and benefit regardless of their fitness level.
- Motivate and encourage students to actively participate in all physical activities, fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
- Identify students with exceptional athletic potential and encourage their participation in school teams and competitions.
- Sports Coaching & Event Organization:
- Assist in coaching school sports teams (e.g., cricket, football, athletics) and prepare them for inter-school competitions and annual sports days.
- Support the organization and execution of school sports events, tournaments, and annual sports day, including logistics, equipment setup, and student coordination.
- Help maintain inventory of sports equipment and report any damages or shortages to the administration.
- Safety & Supervision:
- Ensure all physical activities are conducted in a safe environment, supervising students closely to prevent injuries and accidents.
- Monitor students' well-being during physical activities and respond appropriately to minor injuries or emergencies, following first aid protocols.
- Promote awareness of safety rules and fair play among students during all sports and physical activities.
- Fitness & Holistic Development:
- Promote the importance of physical fitness, teamwork, discipline, and healthy lifestyles among students through regular activities and motivational talks.
- Support the holistic development of students by integrating values such as leadership, sportsmanship, and cooperation into physical education sessions.
- Professional Development & Collaboration:
- Collaborate with teachers to integrate physical activity into broader school programs and events.
- Actively participate in training programs, workshops, and staff meetings organized by the school.

Educational Requirements
- Bachelor/Honors
- Minimum Educational Qualification: Bachelor's Degree (Pass or Honors) from a recognized university.
Additional Job Requirements
- Education and Other Requirements:
- Preferred Qualification: Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education (B.P.Ed) or a Diploma in Sports Science/Coaching. Training in first aid and CPR is highly desirable.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in physical education instruction or sports coaching.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in conducting physical education classes, sports coaching, or organizing sports events, preferably in a school or institutional setting.
- Demonstrated proficiency in major sports (cricket, football, athletics, etc.) and physical fitness activities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills in Bangla; basic English proficiency is an advantage.
- Energetic, enthusiastic, and able to inspire students towards physical fitness.
- Gender: Male/Female
- Age Limit: Maximum 40 years.
- Willingness to work in a semi-urban/underprivileged setting (Khadimnagar, Sylhet) and contribute to the organization's vision of holistic student development.
