Job Description / Responsibility
  • A Joint Venture Financial Institution (NBFI) invites application from qualified persons for the position of Principal Officer-Law at its Corporate Head Office in Dhaka:
  • Job Responsibilities:
  • Legal Compliance: Ensuring that the company complies with all relevant laws, and guidelines set forth by regulatory authorities. Attending various govt. land offices for execution/discharge of mortgage, mutation, and others.
  • Contract Management: Drafting, and vetting various legal documents to protect the interests of the company and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
  • Litigation Management: Managing legal disputes, including coordinating with external legal counsel, preparing legal documents, and representing the company in court proceedings when necessary.
  • Due Diligence: Conducting legal due diligence on potential business transactions, or investments to identify and assess any legal risks or liabilities associated with these transactions.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Monitoring changes in laws, regulations, and industry standards relevant to the finance industry, and Reporting to regulatory authorities including Bangladesh Bank & others.
  • Record-Keeping: Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of legal documents, contracts, correspondence, and other legal matters.
  • Assist the Head of Legal and other managers on any legal matters related to the Company.
  • Vetting all land-related documents including chain of ownership.

Educational Requirements
  • Bachelor of Law (LLB)
  • Master of Law (LLM)
  • LLB (Honrs.), and LLM from a reputed university.
Additional Job Requirements
  • Age At most 32 years
  • Age maximum 32 years as on 31 March 2026.
  • Must be a team player with good interpersonal skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication capability in Bangla and English.
  • Sound knowledge and Competence in MS Office.
