Job Description / Responsibility

- The H&M Certified MQC (Merchandise Quality Controller) is responsible for ensuring that garments produced meet H&M quality standards, performance requirements, and compliance guidelines. This role involves conducting inspections, reporting defects, verifying corrective actions, and collaborating with production teams to ensure product quality and delivery consistency.
- Key Responsibilities
- 1. Quality Inspection & Verification
- Conduct inspections at various production stages (cutting, sewing, finishing, packing) as per H&M MQC standards.
- Utilize approved quality checklists and measurement criteria specific to H&M style guides.
- Record inspection results accurately and report non-conformities.
- 2. Defect Identification & Reporting
- Detect and categorize defects (minor, major, critical) according to H&M protocols.
- Prepare detailed inspection reports and defect summaries for team leads and factory management.
- Track defects over time and assist in root-cause analysis.
- 3. Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure garments comply with H&M specifications (size, fabric, trims, construction, labeling).
- Maintain accurate documentation for all quality checks, approvals, and rejection logs.
- Follow technical packs (Tech Pack) and measurement standards precisely.
- 4. Collaboration & Communication
- Coordinate with production, merchandising, and QA teams to resolve quality issues.
- Communicate inspection results and improvement requirements clearly.
- Provide feedback to supervisors for corrective actions and preventive measures.
- 5. Continuous Improvement
- Monitor quality trends and support improvement initiatives.
- Participate in training to update knowledge on H&M quality standards.
- Support internal audits and third-party quality assessments when required.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Textile Engineering
- H&M MQC certification or equivalent buyer quality training;
Experience Requirements
- 3 to 5 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Garments, Textile
Additional Job Requirements
- Age At least 28 years
- Candidate Minimum 02 years of experience in garment quality control, preferably with H&M standards or other international buyers.
- Practical understanding of RMG production processes.
- Strong knowledge of quality inspection tools and techniques.
- Familiarity with garment measurement, stitching, fabric defects, and finishing standards.
- Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
- Good command of English (speaking & writing).
- Attention to detail and proactive problem-solving ability.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
