Job Description / Responsibility
  • Job Context
  • [Ukil Bari Limited] is a fast-growing Legal Technology platform based in Mymensingh. We are looking for an Executive Lawyer to manage our legal operations, ensure platform compliance, and oversee our network of independent advocates. This is an administrative and strategic legal role, not a litigation-based position.
  • Job Responsibilities
  • Contract Management: Draft, review, and vet service agreements, Terms of Use, and Privacy Policies for the digital platform.
  • Advocate Compliance: Verify the credentials (Bar Council IDs) of onboarding lawyers and ensure they adhere to platform policies (e.g., no off-platform client poaching).
  • Regulatory Liaison: Monitor changes in Bangladesh’s digital laws, including the Cyber Security Act and Data Protection regulations.
  • Operations Support: Oversee the "Two-Fee" system compliance and manage the weekly payout request documentation for independent advocates.
  • Legal Research: Provide legal opinions on day-to-day business operations and potential expansion into new legal services.
  • Dispute Mediation: Handle grievances between platform users and advocates professionally and ethically.

Educational Requirements
  • Bachelor of Law (LLB)
  • Master of Law (LLM)
  • LL.B (Honours) from any reputed university (Public or top-tier Private).
  • LL.M is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Enrolled as an Advocate of the District Court (Bar Council membership is a strong plus).
Experience Requirements
  • 1 to 3 years
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Consulting Firms

Additional Job Requirements
  • Age 18 to 30 years
  • Experience Requirements
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in a corporate law firm or an in-house legal department.
  • Freshers with exceptional research and drafting skills are encouraged to apply.
  • Additional Requirements
  • Drafting Skills: High proficiency in drafting legal documents in both English and Bangla.
  • Tech Savvy: Must be comfortable using digital tools (Google Workspace, CRM, and basic understanding of web-based platforms).
  • Location: Ability to work from the Mymensingh office.
