Job Description / Responsibility
- Monitor recovery/regularization/rescheduling of Classified Loans/NPL portfolio in line with banking/ Non-Bank Financial Institution laws and practices, policies & procedures.
- Assess troubled loans, develop workout strategies, negotiate resolutions, and mitigate financial risk.
- Supervise overall asset management process and ensure positive outcome.
- Direct and coordinate with internal & external legal counsels in dealing with classified accounts to ensure implementation of best legal strategies.
- Develop staff with appropriate qualifications & skills for management of classified loan portfolio.
- Provide support, advice & guidance to legal and recovery team to manage classified loans.
- Maintain liaison with clients and regulatory bodies as required to ensure efficient management and recovery of classified loan portfolio.
- Formulate Budget for annual expenses of special asset management to ensure recovery at minimum costs & maximum recovery.
- Monitor proper utilization of budget for special asset management and ensure periodic review.
- Implement and ensure compliance with the internal policy, guidelines and circular of Bangladesh Bank.
- Coordinate with other divisions/branches when required.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor/Honors
- Masters
- Graduation/Post-Graduation preferably in Banking & Finance/ Marketing/ Economics/ Business Administration or other related discipline from any recognized university with no third division.
Experience Requirements
- At least 10 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Leasing, Investment/Merchant Banking
Additional Job Requirements
- Age At most 45 years
- Having in-depth knowledge and experience in banking/ Non-Bank Financial Institution in the field of operation, finance, recovery, special asset management, credit risk management, credit administration, legal and relevant guidelines of regulatory authorities.
- Proven success records in management and recovery of special assets of financial institutions/Banks.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Banking/Financial Institution at minimum mid-level position including at least 05 years in recovery/special asset management.
- Communication:
- Ability to work with internal, external legal counsel, credit and marketing team along with other stakeholders.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Technical:
- Proficiency in financial analysis tools and MS Office.
