Operator - Cartoner & Bundler (Finishing)

Job Description / Responsibility
- Cartoner & Bundler Operations
- Operate and monitor cartoner and bundler machines to ensure continuous packaging flow and minimal downtime.
- Ensure correct feeding of cartons, inserts, and bundles to avoid mispacks, incorrect bundling, or customer complaints.
- Verify pack counts, sealing quality, shrink integrity (if applicable), and bundling alignment.
- Quality & Compliance Assurance
- Ensure correct coding, barcoding, labeling, and traceability compliance on secondary packs.
- Conduct routine checks for carton defects, missing items, incorrect quantity, or improper sealing and escalate deviations.
- Support QA/QC inspections and ensure rejection handling as per quality procedures.
- Line Efficiency & Changeover Management
- Perform changeovers, adjustments, and machine settings to support different SKUs with minimal downtime.
- Identify causes of frequent jams, misfeeds, and breakdown patterns and report for corrective action.
- Maintain smooth coordination with upstream (tube/carton feeding) and downstream (case packing/dispatch) operations.
- Safety & Housekeeping
- Ensure strict compliance with line safety standards, guarding protocols, and LOTO procedures during minor interventions.
- Maintain 5S and hygiene practices to ensure clean, organized packaging areas.
- Handle packaging materials responsibly to reduce damage and wastage

Additional Job Requirements
- A. KNOWLEDGE
- Machine Operations (Secondary Packaging)
- Strong knowledge of cartoner and bundler machine operations, including feeding systems, bundling sequence, and pack flow.
- Understanding of packaging components (cartons, inserts, labels, shrink film, adhesives) and their correct usage.
- Quality & Standards
- Knowledge of packaging quality standards for correct packing, proper sealing, coding readability, and bundle integrity.
- Awareness of common packaging defects (mispack, wrong count, damaged packs, incorrect coding).
- Maintenance & Cleaning
- Knowledge of cleaning schedules, lubrication routines, and basic preventive practices under autonomous maintenance.
- Awareness of safety requirements for machine operation (guarding, LOTO awareness during minor interventions).
- Documentation & Reporting
- Understanding of log maintenance, RM usage tracking, and WIP reporting procedures.
- B. SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Operational Excellence
- Ability to ensure smooth operation of cartoner and bundler machines with minimal downtime and stable performance.
- Skilled in handling changeovers, line adjustments, and basic troubleshooting (jams, misalignment, misfeeds).
- Ability to maintain consistent output while meeting production and quality targets.
- Quality Delivery
- Strong inspection ability to detect defects early and ensure delivery of finished products as per set standard.
- Ability to segregate rejects and support compliance with QA/QC controls.
- Autonomous Maintenance & Cleaning
- Capable of leading autonomous maintenance activities such as cleaning, lubrication, tightening, inspection, and basic part replacement.
- Ability to follow cleaning schedules and maintain high 5S and hygiene standards.
- Data & Log Management
- Ability to maintain accurate logs for machine performance, RM usage, WIP status, rejection trends, and downtime reasons.

- Experience on FMCG secondary packaging lines preferred (cartoner/bundler/shrink systems).
- Basic skills in reading machine settings and reporting production data
