Job Description / Responsibility
- Calculation, analysis and estimation of product cost for all imported and manufactured item of raw materials, packaging materials and finished products.
- Calculation analysis and estimation of overhead expenses for each item being produced.
- Prepare annual budget, revised budget and periodic forecasts of overhead cost/expenses for all business units.
- Monitor budget utilization and analyze budget variance regularly for overhead cost/expenses
- Prepare detailed product costing and cost analysis reports.
- Ensure effective cost control mechanisms across all factories.
- Analyze production, operational, and overhead costs to improve GP (Gross Profit) rate.
- Prepare monthly MIS reports within the stipulated timeline.
- Generate financial analysis reports for management decision-making.
- Prepare need-based financial schedules and analytical reports as required by management.
- Develop and maintain costing and budgeting databases and reporting systems.
- Conduct profitability analysis by product, business unit and segment.
- Monitor inventory costing, wastage and operational efficiency.
- Analyze short term and long-term investment proposal.
- Assist dept. head in monitoring and controlling budget as per plan.
- Ensure continual improvement of self and work process or system.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend corrective actions.
- Support internal and external audit activities related to costing and budgeting.
- Assist management in financial planning and business strategy formulation.
- Support pricing decisions through detailed cost analysis. Assist line manager in GP analysis.
- Provide analytical insights for improving operational and financial performance.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting
- Candidates must be CMA partly or fully qualified.
Experience Requirements
- 6 to 10 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Agro based firms (incl. Agro Processing/Seed/GM)
Additional Job Requirements
- Age 30 to 42 years
- 6–8 years of relevant experience, preferably in SAP environment.
- Strong knowledge of Cost Accounting, MIS, and Budgetary Control.
