Job Description / Responsibility
- Key Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure Accounting Accuracy (precision of numbers/reconciliations) and Technical Accuracy (compliance with IAS/IFRS/BFRS) in the preparation of actual Financial Statements.
- Oversee the full closing process of Accounts to ensure all reports are error-free and submitted to management on time.
- Provide data-driven analysis and ensure on time and accurate preparation and submission of management reports, to assist the Top Management in financial decision making.
- Communicate financial results and strategic insights confidently to the Top Management/Board of Directors.
- Monitor daily accounting entries, filing, and documentation to ensure everything is executed properly.
- Supervise accounts payable, receivable, and treasury functions.
- Monitor and analyze business revenues, operational expenses and cost of services.
- Ensure efficient Tax and VAT management process and compliance, and other statutory requirements.
- Ensure the company is "audit-ready" daily with organized documentation as per NBR requirements.
- Directly manage and ensure timely compliance with NBR, RJSC, and Provident Fund (PF) regulations.
- Assist in designing and implementing Accounts and Finance related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and internal financial policies to fix existing gaps as per standards and the directives of Top Management/Board of Directors/Advisors.
- Ensure the team follows Accounts and Finance related SOPs/policies through rigorous daily monitoring.
- Act as the primary focal point for engagement and coordination with Internal and External Auditors and Financial/Accounts Advisors, facilitate the resolution of audit observations, oversee the implementation of agreed recommendations of Auditors/Advisors.
- Monitor, review and analyze Company’s investment and support Top Management in making investment decision.
- Supervise and mentor/train the team to improve their analytical output and timeliness.
- Visit offices of the Group located in Chattogram and Khulna as per work requirements and instructions to align localized work process and documentation with accounting standards, NBR rules, and Management directives.
- Coordinate the annual budgeting process and monitor expenses to ensure effective financial planning and strict cost control.
- Monitor inter-company transactions and reconciliations.
- Oversee: Bank reconciliations, Timely inward foreign remittance, Loan and interest management
- Manage banking relationships with commercial banks.
- Coordinate with concerned Advisors regarding regulatory issues like NBR, RJSC and others.
- Execute any other jobs/assignments or special projects as directed by the Management/concerned Authority.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting, Finance
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Accounting, Finance
- Professional Qualification: CA (CC/Part-Qualified/Qualified) or ACCA, ITP
Experience Requirements
- 10 to 12 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Group of Companies, Logistic/Courier/Air Express Companies, Marine Industry, Port Service, Shipping

- Excellent analytical, leadership, communication, and team management skills
- Good command over writing and speaking in English and Bengali
- Candidate must possess satisfactory level of emailing skill
- Should have good interpersonal skills and ethics
- Candidate has to be proactive and time oriented with reliable working attitude
- Must have the ability of doing multitasking and working under pressure
- Applicant having experience in the Maritime/Shipping/Logistics sector will be preferred
