Job Description / Responsibility
- We are seeking a hard-working, hygienic, and dependable Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality food to our valued guests. The ideal candidate will be a proactive team player who takes pride in maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for individuals passionate about the food industry who wish to build a rewarding career in a professional restaurant setting under the mentorship of experienced chefs.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Assist senior chefs and kitchen staff with food preparation tasks including washing, peeling, chopping, portioning, and marinating ingredients.
- Prepare and organize mise en place ahead of service to ensure the kitchen is ready for smooth and timely food production.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of all kitchen surfaces, equipment, utensils, and cooking stations throughout the shift.
- Wash, sanitize, and properly store all crockery, cutlery, pots, pans, and kitchen tools following restaurant standards.
- Receive and store incoming food supplies and raw materials, checking for quality, quantity, and proper labelling.
- Ensure correct rotation and storage of ingredients following FIFO (First In, First Out) principles to minimize wastage.
- Monitor stock levels and promptly notify the Head Chef or Store Manager when items require replenishment.
- Safely operate kitchen appliances and equipment under the supervision of qualified kitchen staff.
- Dispose of kitchen waste responsibly and maintain proper segregation of food, recyclable, and general waste.
- Adhere strictly to all food safety, hygiene, and health regulations at all times within the kitchen premises.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the In-Charge or Appropriate Authority.

Additional Job Requirements
- Age At least 18 years
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills are required.
- Previous experience in a similar role, restaurant, convention center, retail outlet, or hospitality sector will be preferred.
- Fresh candidates with good physical fitness and a positive attitude may also apply.
- Good knowledge of local markets and routes within Bogura.
- Candidates with experience in Bangladeshi cuisine, continental, or fast-food kitchen settings are especially encouraged to apply.
- Previous exposure to high-volume or fast-paced commercial kitchens will be viewed very favourably.
- Experience in food storage, stock rotation, or kitchen inventory management is an added benefit.
- Good understanding of basic food preparation methods, cooking terminology, and kitchen workflow.
- Strong personal hygiene habits and awareness of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Physical fitness and stamina to stand for long hours, lift supplies, and work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Meticulous attention to cleanliness and organization across all kitchen areas and workstations.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions from chefs and kitchen supervisors accurately and efficiently.
- Honest, punctual, and committed to showing up reliably for every assigned shift.
