Assistant Manager/ Deputy Manager- QC

Job Description / Responsibility

Akij Venture Group is looking for a competent and experienced Asst. Manager / Dy. Manager – QC for a Fisheries Development / Aquaculture Project. The position will be responsible for ensuring quality control, compliance, monitoring, and implementation standards of project activities in line with organizational and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
Monitor and ensure quality standards in project implementation and fisheries activities.
Conduct regular field inspections, audits, and compliance monitoring.
Prepare quality control reports, documentation, and corrective action plans.
Coordinate with project teams to maintain operational and technical standards.
Support development and implementation of QC procedures, guidelines, and checklists.
Ensure compliance with organizational policies, donor requirements, and government regulations.
Assist in training field staff on quality assurance and compliance issues.
Monitor utilization of project materials, inputs, and operational processes.

Educational Requirements

Bachelor of Science (BSc)
Bachelor’s degree in Fisheries, Aquaculture, Food Engineering, Quality Management, or related discipline.
Master’s degree will be considered an added advantage.

Experience Requirements

5 to 8 years
The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Agro based firms (incl. Agro Processing/Seed/GM), Group of Companies, Fisheries

Additional Job Requirements

Age At least 28 years
Strong analytical and reporting skills.
Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency in MS Office applications.
Ability to travel frequently to project areas.
