Job Description / Responsibility
  • Job Context:
  • Interstoff Apparels Ltd. is looking for energetic, self-motivated, and career-oriented Management Trainee Officers (MTO) – Trims & Accessories Procurement to support the procurement and supply of trims and accessories required for garment production. The selected candidates will undergo structured on-the-job training and work closely with Merchandising, Product Development, Production, Commercial, QA, Warehouse, and Procurement teams to develop expertise in sourcing, order management, supplier coordination, ERP operations, and procurement processes.
  • Job Responsibilities:
  • 1. Procurement Support
  • Assist in sourcing various trims and accessories including labels, hangtags, zippers, buttons, sewing threads, elastics, tapes, poly bags, cartons, and packaging materials from approved suppliers.
  • Support the collection and comparison of quotations considering price, quality, lead time, and supplier capabilities.
  • 2. Order Processing & Follow-up
  • Support the preparation and processing of Purchase Orders (POs) through ERP systems based on approved BOM and material requirements.
  • Follow up on order status, production schedules, shipment plans, and delivery timelines.
  • 3. Coordination with Internal Teams
  • Coordinate with Merchandising, Product Development, Production, Commercial, QA, Warehouse, and Finance teams regarding trims and accessories requirements.
  • Assist in resolving routine procurement and supply-related issues under the guidance of senior team members.
  • 4. Quality & Compliance Support
  • Assist in coordinating testing, approvals, and quality-related activities for trims and accessories.
  • Ensure buyer specifications and approved standards are properly communicated and followed.
  • 5. Documentation & Reporting
  • Maintain quotations, purchase orders, invoices, approvals, and other procurement records.
  • Prepare periodic reports and update procurement-related data in ERP systems.
  • 6. Learning & Development
  • Participate actively in on-the-job training and departmental development programs.
  • Develop knowledge of trims and accessories, consumption, costing, supplier management, and procurement procedures.
  • Stay updated on market trends, new technologies, and industry best practices in Supply Chain and Procurement.

Educational Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Textile Engineering
  • Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering, Industrial & Production Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline from a reputed university.
Experience Requirements
  • At most 1 year
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Garments, Textile
  • Freshers are also encouraged to apply.

Additional Job Requirements
  • Age At least 23 years
  • Basic understanding of the RMG manufacturing process and supply chain operations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel; knowledge of ERP systems will be an added advantage.
  • Strong analytical aptitude and willingness to learn and build a career in Supply Chain and Procurement.
  • Candidates with exposure to Artificial Intelligence (AI), automation tools, data analytics, and digital procurement solutions will be given preference.
  • Preference will be given to candidates having a PGD, MBA, or professional certifications in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or related disciplines (e.g., CIPS, ISCEA, APICS/ASCM, CPSM).
  • Fresh graduates are highly encouraged to apply. Candidates having internship experience or up to 1 year of experience in Trims & Accessories Procurement, Merchandising, or Supply Chain functions in an export-oriented RMG company will be given preference.
