Job Description / Responsibility
- Job Context
- A reputed company is establishing a new chemical industry is seeking an experienced senior professional to lead the complete factory setup, commissioning, and end-to-end operations. The role requires a strong leader capable of managing production, supply chain, finance, HR, compliance, and overall operational excellence from project stage to full commercial production.
- Job Location: Factory Premises, Borpa, Narayangonj, Bangladesh
- Job Responsibilities:
- Lead factory setup, commissioning, and full-scale operational development from project stage to commercial production.
- Develop and execute overall factory operations strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Oversee Production, Maintenance, Quality Control, Supply Chain, Warehouse, Procurement, HR & Administration functions.
- Ensure smooth production planning, capacity utilization, machine efficiency, and labor productivity.
- Supervise manufacturing processes and ensure consistent product quality and output targets.
- Manage factory layout planning, machinery installation, utilities, and production flow optimization.
- Implement cost control measures, budgeting, inventory management, and working capital optimization.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements including safety, environmental, labor law, and factory licensing.
- Develop SOPs, KPIs, operational systems, and performance monitoring frameworks.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives including efficiency improvement, waste reduction, and process optimization.
- Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and regulatory authorities for smooth operations.
- Prepare operational, production, and management reports for senior leadership.
- Build, lead, and develop high-performing cross-functional teams.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BSc)
- B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Industrial & Production Engineering (IPE), or relevant discipline.
- MA/MSS/MBA will also be considered with professional certification get an advantage.
Experience Requirements
- 12 to 20 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Trading or Export/Import
Additional Job Requirements
- Age 32 to 50 years
- Strong knowledge of factory operations, production systems, and industrial engineering practices.
- Expertise in supply chain, procurement, inventory, costing, and financial control.
- Strong understanding of Bangladesh compliance, labor law, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Proven leadership ability to manage multiple departments simultaneously.
- Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with ERP/MIS systems will be an advantage.
- Experience:
- Minimum 12–20 years of experience in relevant manufacturing industry.
- At least 5 years in senior leadership roles (Factory Head / Plant Head / Operations Head).
- Must have experience in factory setup, commissioning, or greenfield project execution.
- Experience in Ink, Paint, Chemical, Coating, Adhesive, or related industries will be preferred.
