Job Description / Responsibility
- Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end product development from design concept to production.
- Prepare product costings and ensure products meet target margins and retail price points.
- Source fabrics, trims, accessories, and other materials from local and international suppliers.
- Develop, review, and approve samples while ensuring required quality, fit, measurements, fabrics, colors, and construction details.
- Coordinate with design, production, quality, and sourcing teams to ensure timely product development and production.
- Monitor production timelines and resolve sourcing, costing, and development-related issues.
- Research market trends, customer preferences, competitor products, and emerging fashion trends to support product development.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and sourcing partners.
- Contribute to new product launches and seasonal collection development.
- Perform any other duties assigned by management.
- Note: This role is focused on the Bangladesh retail fashion market. Candidates with hands-on experience in local fashion brands will be preferred. Experience solely in export-oriented merchandising may not fully align with the requirements of this position.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Textile Engineering
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

Additional Job Requirements
- Age At least 28 years
- Only Male
- Must have Local Fashion Brand and Garments related work experience & able to work at Factory Level.
- Must have Strong knowledge of negotiation & pricing.
- Prior experience in product development, fashion production, or merchandising is preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Merchandising, Product Development, or Sourcing.
- Strong knowledge of apparel costing, fabric sourcing, trims, garment construction, and production processes.
- Good understanding of the Bangladesh fashion retail market, customer preferences, and product pricing strategies.
- Experience working with local fashion or lifestyle brands will be given preference.
- Ability to independently manage product development and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and merchandising documentation.
