Job Description / Responsibility
- Lead, supervise, and mentor the Accounts & Finance team to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Maintain accurate books of accounts in compliance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, annual, and project-wise financial statements.
- Prepare Annual Financial Statements, Income Statements, Balance Sheets, Cash Flow Statements, and Profit & Loss (P&L) Statements.
- Prepare annual income and expenditure reports and present financial performance reports to the management.
- Prepare management reports, financial analyses, and forecasts to support business decisions.
- Prepare annual budgets, monitor budget utilization, and conduct variance analysis.
- Monitor cash flow, bank accounts, receivables, payables, and working capital.
- Prepare clients' bills, invoices, contractor bills, supplier bills, payment certificates, and work order-related financial documents.
- Verify, negotiate, reconcile, and finalize bills with clients, contractors, suppliers, and consultants.
- Ensure timely collection of receivables and proper control over outstanding dues.
- Maintain project-wise cost control, profitability analysis, and financial monitoring.
- Prepare and submit Income Tax Returns for the company and coordinate with tax consultants and authorities.
- Handle all Tax-related matters, including Tax Deduction at Source (TDS), Advance Income Tax (AIT), tax assessments, tax clearance, and compliance with applicable tax laws.
- Handle all VAT-related activities, including VAT registration, VAT accounting, VAT returns, VAT deduction at source, Mushak preparation, VAT audits, and compliance with applicable VAT regulations.
- Liaise with the National Board of Revenue (NBR), banks, auditors, financial institutions, and regulatory authorities whenever required.
- Coordinate statutory, internal, and external audits and ensure timely completion of audit requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting, tax, VAT, and corporate regulations.
- Maintain confidentiality and proper documentation of all financial records.
- Recommend and implement internal financial controls and process improvements.
- Perform any other finance, accounts, or administrative responsibilities assigned by the management.
Educational Requirements
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Accounting & Information System, Finance & Banking
- Master of Commerce (MCom) in Accounting
- Candidates having professional qualifications such as CA (CC), CA (Course Completed), CMA, ACCA (partly completed), or equivalent will receive preference.
Experience Requirements
- 10 to 12 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Architecture Firm, Interior Design, Real Estate, Building & Construction Materials
Additional Job Requirements
- Age 30 to 45 years
- Strong knowledge of financial accounting, corporate finance, taxation, VAT, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Sound knowledge of Bangladesh Income Tax, VAT laws, and statutory compliance.
- Hands-on experience in preparing annual accounts, Profit & Loss Statements, tax returns, VAT returns, and audit schedules.
- Excellent proficiency in Tally ERP, ERP software, accounting software, Microsoft Excel, Word, and other computer applications.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and reporting skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- High level of integrity, accountability, and professional ethics.
