Job Description / Responsibility
- Context
- ARTNATURE BANGLADESH LIMITED. is located at Bangladesh Specialized Economic Zone, Araihazar, Narayanganj-1460, Bangladeash and is engaged in the business of manufacturing, processing, exporting and importing of hairpieces such as toupees, wigs, wiglets and the like including hair accessories and ornaments, all makes and kinds as well as any all materials including human hair and synthetic hair supplies. To support our new plant at BSEZ, we are looking for candidates who are interested in joining in the mentioned position and want to be a part of the company's operation in Bangladesh.
- Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly and annual reports as per requirement.
- Monitor and reconcile accounts, ensuring timely resolution of discrepancies·
- Ensure compliance with financial reporting standards and regulations.
- Monitor and control expenditures to optimize resource utilization.
- Oversee procurement processes, ensuring compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
- Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers, monitoring performance and resolving disputes.
- Negotiate favorable terms and conditions to optimize costs.
- Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals.
- Responsible for providing accurate and fully compliant financial information to the banking partners, internal or external auditors and other external government & private agencies as required.
- Supervise, monitor and control the assets management and movement.
- Preparing and monitoring petty Cash statements.
- Ensure preparation & submission of annual TAX return and related documents to TAX authority in timely manner.
- Ensure submission of monthly, quarterly, half yearly & yearly returns & statements to respective circle of NBR.
- Correspond with Tax authority and consultant for Corporate Tax assessment, perform corporate Tax planning and reporting.
- Review and ensure the process of payment of TAX on timely manner.
- Proactive discussion with NBR officials on expected changes, handling external audits/disputes/appeals, and maintaining good relations with relevant authorities.
- Create awareness and train the relevant team members in understanding the TAX laws, process & procedures.
- Other tasks assigned by the superior as and when required.
Educational Requirements
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Accounting
- Master of Commerce (MCom) in Accounting
- Professional Qualifications: Fully or partly qualified professional certifications (such as CA, ACCA, CMA, ACMA, or equivalent) are preferred.
Experience Requirements
- 10 to 15 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Garments, Garments Accessories, Group of Companies, Multinational Companies, Plastic/ Polymer Industry, Textile, Manufacturing (FMCG), Trading or Export/Import, Audit Firms /Tax Consultant
Additional Job Requirements
- Age 32 to 45 years
- At least 10 to 12 years of overall experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a managerial or assistant managerial capacity, preferably in a 100% export-oriented industry located in export processing zone.
- In-depth understanding of local and international financial regulations and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in office management tools and good presentation skills.
- Proficient, up-to-date knowledge of Bangladesh Income Tax, Customs, and VAT laws, including online return filing.Advanced operational knowledge of ERP systems and expert-level proficiency in MS Excel for management reporting.
- Native-level fluency in Bengali and exceptional communication skills in English for direct reporting to expatriate directors.
- Experience in a Japanese multinational corporation (MNC) or an environment adhering to Japanese management standards like 5S and Kaizen.
- The incumbent should be capable of leading the Accounts function from the company`s early stage with honesty, integrity, professionalism and a strong sense of ownership.
