Job Description / Responsibility
- Centre for Social and Economic Research (CSER) is a leading research and policy institution dedicated to generating evidence-based insights for economic and social development. We are seeking a talented and motivated Research Associate to support research projects, policy analysis, and knowledge generation initiatives.

- Key Responsibilities
- Assist in conducting economic, social, and policy research studies.
- Collect, clean, manage, and analyze quantitative and qualitative data.
- Conduct literature reviews and background research on assigned topics.
- Support the preparation of research reports, policy briefs, presentations, and publications.
- Assist in survey design, fieldwork coordination, and data validation activities.
- Contribute to economic and statistical analysis using appropriate research tools and methodologies.
- Support project implementation, documentation, and reporting requirements.
- Prepare presentations and summaries for meetings, workshops, and stakeholder consultations.
- Monitor economic and development trends and provide research support to senior team members.
- Maintain research databases and ensure data accuracy and confidentiality.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Economics, Development Studies, Statistics, Public Policy, Social Sciences, or a related field from a recognized university.
Experience Requirements
- At least 3 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Research Organization
Additional Job Requirements
- Experience Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of research experience in economic research, policy analysis, development projects, academia, consulting, or related fields.
- Additional Requirements
- Strong analytical and research skills.
- Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methodologies.
- Proficiency in MS Office and statistical software such as SPSS, STATA, R, Python, or similar analytical tools.
- Excellent report writing and communication skills in English and Bangla.
- Ability to synthesize information and present findings clearly and concisely.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a research team.
- Strong commitment to professional ethics and research integrity.
