Job Description / Responsibility
- Job Context: Well-reputed knit garments manufacturer based in Narayangonj is looking for Merchandiser/Sr. Merchandiser for Merchandising team. We need someone who is capable, motivated, energetic, and diligent to help us better in this position.
- Ensure smooth communications with customers and suppliers on day-to-day merchandising activities and approvals.
- Continuously update the fabrics, trims, print embroideries, washes and stitch library including technical data and price idea for easy reference.
- Responsible for overseeing and sourcing fabric and trims. Collaborate with the design team to ensure timely delivery of high-quality samples that meet customer expectations.
- Oversee production processes and sample coordination with factories, ensuring all related procedures are followed efficiently.
- Create detailed costing sheets with comprehensive breakdowns obtained from factories.
- Work alongside quality control teams to ensure products meet required standards. Manage forwarder bookings through logistics teams and oversee product shipments to ensure smooth delivery.
- Act as a bridge between the production and quality departments, collaborating closely with the Quality Assurance Officers to ensure the highest standards in the final product while overseeing all quality aspects from the beginning to the completion of production
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor/Honors
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Textile Technology from Any reputed Institute.
Experience Requirements
- 5 to 10 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Garments

- Good hand on Costing,
- Good Communication Skill (Bangla and English), Leadership and team work with Merchandising, MS Word/ Excel/ PowerPoint/ One Note, SCM, Sourcing and Procurement.
- Must have good idea about Fabric, Trims, Print, Embroidery, Sampling, Booking, Production and Quality.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in in writing with customer & factory in English & Bengali both.
- Ability to follow up orders individually from PO receiving to garments shipment.
- Ability to coordinate with Technical & QA team.
- Ability to prepare and understand T&A and to follow up in execution accordingly.
- To prepare a cost sheet for each product or item, review the production tech pack, identify the new materials, clarify the discrepancy, and arrange missing color standards for each key account as per requirement.
- Communicate with suppliers for raw materials, booking, and delivery.
- Liaison with the commercial team about shipping documents, undertaking all formalities, and updating buyers.
