Job Description / Responsibility
- Prepare Material Requirement Planning (MRP) based on production plans and order projections and inventory levels.
- Ensure timely availability of Yarn, fabric, trims, packaging, and accessories.
- Monitor daily material requirements against production demand.
- Optimize inventory while minimizing excess, slow-moving, and obsolete stock.
- Monitor inventory turnover (ITOR), Days Inventory Outstanding (DIO), and stock accuracy.
- Conduct regular inventory reconciliation and cycle counting.
- Coordinate with Merchandising, Planning, Knitting, Dyeing, Finishing, Cutting, Warehouse, and Commercial departments.
- Ensure uninterrupted material flow to meet production and shipment schedules.
- Resolve material shortages affecting production.
- Monitor supplier delivery performance.
- Develop and maintain material planning reports, KPIs, and management dashboards.
- Reduce inventory carrying cost, Improve material utilization, Control dead stock and material wastage.
- Identify material shortages and supply chain bottlenecks, & Develop contingency plans for critical materials.
- ERP/System data accuracy for material planning, inventory, and production requirements.
- Improve planning accuracy and warehouse efficiency.
- Standardize SOPs for material management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and supply chain best practices.
- Mentor and develop the Material Planning team to achieve departmental objectives.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)/Master of Business Administration (MBA)/B.Sc. in Textile Engineering / Industrial & Production Engineering (IPE) / Supply Chain Management / Industrial Engineering or Graduation/Post Graduation from any reputed Public or Private University.
Experience Requirements
- 10 to 12 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Dyeing Factory, Garments, Group of Companies, Textile

- IT proficiency – Advanced level skill in MS Office (Especially Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook) and ERP systems.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities within tight deadlines.
- Self-motivated, proactive, dynamic, and result-oriented.
- Strong understanding of inventory optimization, forecasting, and supply chain best practices.
- Experience Requirements:
- At least 10-12 years of relevant experience in Material Management Planning / Supply Chain / Production Planning in a reputed Knit Composite Garments industry.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a managerial position.
- Strong knowledge of Material Requirement Planning (MRP), Inventory Management, ERP systems, Production Planning, Procurement, and Supply Chain Operations.
