Job Description / Responsibility
- Operations & Production
- Lead the Fastener Department`s overall operations to ensure the safe, efficient, and uninterrupted production of fasteners and wire nails.
- Oversee the entire manufacturing process, encompassing Cold Heading (Fastener & Nail Forming), Tail Drilling, Thread Rolling, Heat Treatment (Temper Furnace), Washer Assembly, and related finishing operations.
- Develop production schedules in coordination with the Planning, Procurement, Stores, and Sales departments to ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Plan, supervise, and control daily production activities to achieve targets while upholding quality, cost, and delivery objectives.
- Ensure accurate machine setup, operation, and optimization to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.
- Prepare, review, and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production reports and machine performance records.
- Support new product development, process validation, and the implementation of new machinery or production technologies.
- Manage departmental resources effectively, including machinery, tools, production materials, and manpower.
- Quality & Maintenance
- Maintain and continuously improve product quality to ensure it meets customer specifications.
- Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities with the Maintenance team to ensure maximum machine reliability and availability.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on waste reduction, manufacturing cost reduction, process optimization, and productivity enhancement.
- Monitor machine utilization, material consumption, labor productivity, and production efficiency, implementing corrective actions where necessary.
- Ensure full compliance with company policies, quality management systems, and statutory requirements.
- Enforce workplace safety, housekeeping, and environmental compliance throughout the department.
- Team Leadership & General Duties
- Supervise, train, and evaluate engineers, supervisors, technicians, and machine operators to improve technical competency and operational performance.
- Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the management from time to time.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering
- Master of Science (MSc) in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering
- Diploma in Engineering in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering
- Educational qualifications may be relaxed for exceptionally experienced candidates with proven expertise in fastener manufacturing and production operations.
Experience Requirements
- 5 to 10 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Building & Construction Materials, Industrial Machineries (Generator, Diesel Engine etc.), Manufacturing (Light Engineering and Heavy Industry), Metal & Aluminium Manufacturing, Steel
