Job Description / Responsibility
- Madina Group of Companies is looking for a qualified, experienced, and motivated Structural Engineer to join its Development Sector. The selected candidate will be responsible for the structural design, analysis, supervision, quality assurance, and technical support of industrial, commercial, residential, and infrastructure development projects. The role requires close coordination with architects, MEP engineers, consultants, contractors, and project management teams to ensure safe, economical, and code-compliant construction.
- Job Responsibilities
- Prepare structural designs, calculations, and detailed drawings for development projects.
- Perform structural analysis using relevant engineering software.
- Review architectural and structural drawings to ensure technical accuracy and constructability.
- Ensure compliance with BNBC, relevant international standards, and client requirements.
- Review reinforcement detailing, formwork drawings, and shop drawings.
- Conduct site inspections to verify construction quality and structural compliance.
- Monitor construction activities to ensure adherence to approved drawings, specifications, and safety standards.
- Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, and project teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Review material specifications, technical submittals, and method statements.
- Identify structural risks and recommend practical engineering solutions.
- Prepare structural reports, progress reports, technical documentation, and project records.
- Assist in project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and cost optimization.
- Ensure quality control and quality assurance during construction.
- Support tender evaluation by reviewing structural aspects of bids and technical proposals.
- Perform any other engineering duties assigned by management.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Civil Engineering
- Masters degree in Structural Engineering will be considered an added advantage.
Experience Requirements
- 7 to 10 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Cement Industry, Developer, Group of Companies, Manufacturing (FMCG), Plastic/ Polymer Industry, Real Estate, Shipping, Shopping mall, Trading or Export/Import
Additional Job Requirements
- Age 30 to 50 years
- Only Male
- Membership of the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB) is preferred.
- Rajuk enlistment for Structural Design.
- Strong knowledge of Bangladesh National Building Code (BNBC) and relevant international design standards.
- Proficiency in structural design and analysis software such as ETABS, SAFE, STAAD. Ro, SAP2000, and AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of Revit or other BIM software will be an added advantage.
- Good understanding of reinforced concrete and steel structure design.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills in both Bangla and English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Willingness to travel to project sites across Bangladesh.
- Experience in high-rise buildings, industrial facilities, commercial complexes, residential developments, or infrastructure projects will be preferred.
- Experience working with consultants, developers, EPC contractors, or large corporate organizations will be an advantage.
- In depth knowledge have in DAP, Real State equipment, FAR will be added advantage.
