Manager (Shipping Operations)

Job Description / Responsibility

DMJ Shipping Lines is looking for an experienced, skilled, and dependable Manager (Shipping Operations) to lead our Shipping work operations team.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure on-time Delivery Order (DO) or NOC issuance
Oversee and manage vessel and cargo operations
Prepare and ensure completion of shipping and customs documentation
Maintain liaison with port authorities, customs, and other relevant agencies
Plan and monitor vessel schedules
Prepare cargo and vessel files, and assist with invoicing
Maintain strong relationships with clients and suppliers
Control operational costs and ensure efficiency
Ensure compliance with QHSE and risk management standards

Educational Requirements

Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Marine Engineering
Diploma in Engineering in Shipping/Logistics/Maritime preferred
Graduate or relevant Diploma in Shipping/Logistics/Maritime preferred; educational qualification may be relaxed for candidates with strong relevant experience

Experience Requirements

At least 3 years
The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Clearing and Forwarding (C and F) Companies, Delivery Services Startup, Freight forwarding, Inventory/Warehouse, Logistic/Courier/Air Express Companies, Logistics Startup, Port Service, Shipping

Additional Job Requirements

Minimum 3+ years of experience in shipping agency or vessel operations
Sound knowledge of customs and shipping documentation
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Proficient in computer/MS Office applications
