Job Description / Responsibility
- Lead and manage all finishing and packing operations to achieve daily production targets.
- Develop and execute finishing production plans in coordination with Sewing, Quality, Merchandising, and Planning departments.
- Ensure garments comply with buyer-approved measurement, appearance, packing, labeling, and carton specifications.
- Monitor production progress and resolve bottlenecks to ensure smooth workflow and on-time shipment.
- Ensure all alteration, repair, and rework activities are completed within the required timeline while maintaining quality standards.
- Supervise manpower allocation and optimize line balancing to maximize productivity and efficiency.
- Monitor daily production, efficiency, WIP, DHU, rejection, and shipment status, taking corrective actions where necessary.
- Maintain compliance with Quality Management System (QMS), SOPs, and buyer requirements throughout finishing operations.
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with buyer representatives and third-party quality inspectors.
- Coordinate with Merchandising, IE, Planning, Warehouse, and Logistics to ensure uninterrupted production flow.
- Ensure strict adherence to metal detection policy, needle control, packing integrity, and shipment security requirements.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity and reduce waste.
- Ensure proper housekeeping, workplace safety, and compliance with company policies.
- Train, mentor, and develop finishing supervisors and staff to improve technical and leadership capabilities.
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly production and shipment reports to management.
- Identify production risks proactively and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
Educational Requirements
- HSC
- Bachelor in Engineering (BEngg) in Textile Engineering, Industrial Engineering
- Bachelor/Honors
Experience Requirements
- 7 to 10 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Garments, Woven Manufacturing
Additional Job Requirements
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience as a Finishing Manager or Production Manager – Finishing.
- Experience handling woven garments for internationally reputed buyers.
