Job Description / Responsibility
- Ananta Companies is seeking an experienced and result-oriented Manager – Fabric Inspection to oversee end-to-end fabric quality assurance, inspection workflows, and technical defect resolution. Reporting directly to the GM-QC and Director-Merchandising, the successful candidate will lead the fabric inspection team to ensure 100% compliance with quality standards, shade segregation, and physical inventory controls before production.
- Job Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Conduct: Organize, lead, and conduct regular team meetings to ensure smooth operational flow in the fabric inspection section.
- Physical Inventory & Blanket Cutting: Ensure 100% physical fabric inventory verification against packing lists and oversee 100% roll blanket cutting.
- 4-Point Inspection & Testing: Prepare comprehensive fabric inspection reports using the 4-Point System, execute shrinkage calculations, and perform precise shade segregation from blanket samples.
- Discrepancy & Defect Management: Compare fabric supplier inspection reports with factory (FTY) inspection findings; promptly report any discrepancies or faulty rolls to the GM (QC/QA), Merchandising team, and high management.
- Shade & Wash Approval: Coordinate with the Wash Department to review and receive approval for shade blankets; monitor wash timelines to ensure on-time delivery of washed goods.
- Shade & Shrinkage Segregation: Execute roll segregation based on shade and shrinkage, and prepare group pattern adjustment summaries regarding fabric length and width.
- Color Standard Verification: Ensure all color and shade assessments are conducted in a standardized light box under specified light sources (D65, TL83/84, A, and UV Light).
- Documentation & Technical Testing: Maintain complete technical documentation including Lab Dips, FTD, GSM, OZ, Shrinkage, Shade/Master Blankets, 100% Roll Swatches, Shrinkage Panels, Shading, Twisting, Bowing, and Elastic Shrinkage calculations.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure strict quality compliance upon fabric receipt and maintain seamless quality delivery to cutting/production.
- Reporting: Report regularly to GM-QC and Director-Merchandising; perform any other duties assigned by management.
