Job Description / Responsibility
- JOB PURPOSE
- The Project Officer will plan, implement, monitor, document, and report on project activities at the field level. The role ensures high-quality implementation, active community participation, safeguarding compliance, and adherence to donor requirements.
- KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual work plans in line with project objectives.
- Facilitate training sessions, meetings, demonstrations, and community awareness activities.
- Organize and strengthen farmer groups, women's groups, and community-based institutions.
- Support interventions related to climate-smart agriculture, nutrition, WASH, and sustainable livelihoods.
- Conduct regular field monitoring and offer supportive supervision to field operations.
- Collect, verify, and manage field data while maintaining accurate beneficiary databases.
- Draft high-quality field reports, success stories, case studies, and donor documentation.
- Coordinate with local government departments, administration, and relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure strict compliance with organizational policies, donor guidelines, and safeguarding standards.
- Assist in project planning, budgeting, procurement, and regular review meetings.
- Perform additional duties assigned by the Project Coordinator or Executive Director.
Educational Requirements
- Educational Requirements:
- Master's degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Extension, Rural Development, Social Science, Development Studies, or a related discipline from a recognized university.
- Note: Candidates with a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture and exceptional professional experience may also be considered.
- Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in NGO/INGO project implementation.
- Demonstrated experience in livelihoods, food security, climate-smart agriculture, community mobilization, or rural development.
- Prior experience with donor-funded projects is highly advantageous.
Additional Job Requirements
- Strong skills in project planning, implementation, and field facilitation.
- Excellent report-writing capabilities in both Bangla and English.
- Proven track record in monitoring, documentation, and data management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work independently and manage deliverables under pressure.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a commitment to teamwork and community engagement.
- Willingness to travel extensively within rural project areas.

Monthly Gross Salary: BDT 43,200/-
Festival Bonus: As per project policy
Allowances: Mobile and travel allowances provided according to organizational policy
Employment Contract: Up to March 31, 2029 (Initial contractual period, renewable annually based on performance, funding, and requirements).
