Job Description / Responsibility
- UpSkill Bangladesh is seeking an experienced, visionary, and results-driven Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead our technology division and drive innovation across software development, AI solutions, SaaS products, and enterprise applications. The ideal candidate should have 10–20 years of experience in the software and IT industry, with a proven track record of leading high-performing engineering teams, managing complex software projects, engaging with international clients, and aligning technology strategies with business goals. The candidate must possess excellent communication and presentation skills and be capable of representing the company in executive-level meetings with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the company's Software Development, AI, QA, DevOps, UI/UX, and Technical Operations teams.
- Define and execute the organization's technology vision, roadmap, and digital transformation strategy.
- Oversee the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of enterprise software, web applications, mobile applications, and SaaS products.
- Ensure delivery of scalable, secure, and high-quality software solutions following industry best practices.
- Mentor, recruit, and develop senior engineering managers, software architects, and technical teams.
- Collaborate with Business Development and Product teams to translate client requirements into technical solutions.
- Participate in client meetings, technical presentations, proposal discussions, and solution architecture sessions.
- Build strong relationships with local and international clients through effective communication and technical consultation.
- Establish software development standards, coding practices, quality assurance processes, and cybersecurity policies.
- Evaluate and implement emerging technologies including AI, Cloud Computing, Machine Learning, and Automation.
- Drive Agile development methodologies, DevOps practices, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Oversee project planning, resource allocation, budgeting, timelines, and risk management.
- Ensure compliance with security standards, data protection regulations, and software governance.
- Monitor engineering KPIs, product performance, and technology investments to maximize business value.
- Represent the company at executive meetings, technology conferences, client engagements, and strategic partnerships.
- Working Hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Weekly Holidays: Friday & Saturday
Educational Requirements
- Master of Science (MSc) in Computer Science & Engineering
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science & Engineering
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience Requirements
- 10 to 20 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): IT Enabled Service, Software Company, Training Institutes
Additional Job Requirements
- Age 33 to 50 years
- 15–20 years of experience in the Software Development or IT industry, including significant leadership experience.
- Proven experience managing large software engineering teams and multiple technology projects simultaneously.
- Strong expertise in Software Architecture, Cloud Platforms, AI Solutions, SaaS Products, Enterprise Applications, and System Design.
- Hands-on understanding of modern development frameworks, DevOps, CI/CD, databases, APIs, and cybersecurity.
- Strong leadership, strategic planning, and organizational management skills.
- Excellent client communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Experience working with international clients and cross-functional teams is highly preferred.
- Ability to make technology-driven business decisions and align engineering objectives with organizational goals.
- Professional appearance with strong interpersonal and executive communication skills.
