- Department: Sales & Marketing (Trade Division)
- Reports To: National Sales Manager (NSM)
- Location: Divisional Headquarters / Regional Hub (e.g., Chittagong, Bogra, Khulna, Sylhet)
- Job Location: Corporate office, Banani, Dhaka-1213.
- Supervises: Area Sales Managers (ASMs), Senior Sales Executive and Sales Executive
- Job Purpose: The Zonal Sales Manager (ZSM) is responsible for driving overall sales volume, revenue, and distributor network expansion across a major geographic Zone (comprising multiple Districts). Reporting directly to the NSM, the ZSM manages credit health, monitors competitor activity, and leads Area Sales Managers to hit regional revenue and volume goals.
- Key Responsibilities
- Zonal Revenue Target Execution: Break down national targets into monthly and quarterly sales plans for each Area/Territory within the zone.
- Distributor & Dealer Network: Onboard high-value primary distributors in untapped district markets and monitor top 20% key dealer accounts.
- Credit & Receivables Management: Ensure collection discipline, enforce dealer credit limits, and control Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) across the assigned zone.
- Trade Activation & Electrician Meets: Organize zonal electrician engagement programs, contractor meets, and regional dealer reward events in coordination with Trade Marketing.
- Team Leadership & Monitoring: Conduct weekly field reviews with ASMs, track SFA (Sales Force Automation) app adoption, and conduct regular route plan audits.
Educational Requirements
- Graduate in any discipline (BBA/B.Sc preferred); MBA in Marketing is an added advantage.
Experience Requirements
Additional Job Requirements
- Age At least 22 years
- Experience: 8–12 years in trade/channel sales, with at least 3+ years managing an entire region/zone in cables, building materials, paints, or consumer durables.
- Skills: Strong regional market knowledge, dealer credit management, negotiation, and field team leadership.
