Job Description / Responsibility

A foreign based buying house is looking for an experienced and highly capable Product development executive – Woven Shirts & Bottoms to join our team in Bangladesh.
We need a product-focused professional, not only a follow-up merchandiser—someone who understands the product from design concept and fabric selection through costing, development, approval, and bulk production.
Key Responsibilities
Handle complete product development for woven shirts, chinos, casual bottoms, cargo pants, shorts, and related woven products.
Work closely with international buyers from development stage through order confirmation.
Review tech packs, specifications, fabric, trims, washes, fits, and styling details.
Coordinate with fabric mills, washing plants, sample rooms, merchandising, technical, and production teams.
Develop products according to buyer requirements while achieving competitive FOB prices.
Follow sampling from initial development, SMS and PP samples through bulk approval.
Ensure developments are completed within agreed timelines.
Identify suitable fabrics, washes, finishes, trims, and construction techniques for new developments.
Work closely with factories to ensure products are commercially feasible for bulk production.
Maintain strong communication with buyers and internal teams.

Additional Job Requirements

Candidate Profile
Minimum 4-6 years of relevant experience in woven product development/merchandising.
Strong specialization in woven shirts and bottoms is essential.
Excellent knowledge of fabrics, garment construction, washing, costing, consumption, and production processes.
Experience working with UK and European fashion retailers/brands will be preferred.
Strong communication, negotiation, and buyer-handling skills.
Must be proactive, technically sound, and capable of independently managing developments.
