Assistant Engineer (Design & Costing)

Job Description / Responsibility

Job Responsibilities:
Process design of various water, wastewater, sewage, rainwater harvesting plants, etc.
Preparation of drawings for process flow and hydraulic flow diagram of various treatment plants.
Preparation of MEP drawings.
Preparation of P&ID.
Making of electrical load consumption chart for various electrical equipment.
Selection of suitable pumps and other equipment as per requirement of the plant according to their specifications.
Estimation and costing of the items for the assigned projects.
Preparation of BoQ for electro-mechanical equipment and infrastructures.
Evaluation of production, operation and maintenance costs.
Cost benefit and sustainability analysis of alternatives for the projects to make it cost and energy efficient.
Preparation of quotations and business offers for various plant and accessories.
To conduct technical and business meeting with the clients, supplier and vendors.

Educational Requirements

Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Civil Engineering
B.Sc. in Civil Engineering
All public universities (BUET, KUET, RUET, CUET, SUST, MIST) will be preferred.

Experience Requirements

At least 3 years
The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Engineering Firms

Additional Job Requirements

Experience
Should have Minimum 3 years` experience in design and costing of structures in any engineering farm.
Special Preference:
To be skilled on AutoCAD 2D and Sketch Up.
To be skilled to use the MS Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint) program.
Capable to communicate in English language.
Candidates will be preferred who has an experience on water management sectors, capable to handle the eGP tender procedure, well known and workable on modelling and structural analysis by using of ETABS (latest version).
