Job Description / Responsibility
- A 100% Export-Oriented Knit Composite Garments Factory (Green Project).
- Trust Knitwear Industries Ltd. is seeking a dynamic, experienced, and result-oriented Senior Merchandiser to join our merchandising team. The ideal candidate must possess strong buyer-handling skills, technical merchandising knowledge, and proven experience managing orders from development through shipment.
- Key Responsibilities
- Maintain effective communication with NEXT BUYER, liaison offices, factory personnel, and other internal departments.
- Prepare accurate product costing and price quotations.
- Coordinate with the production team to ensure timely execution of orders.
- Follow buyers' standards, procedures, and compliance requirements throughout the order cycle.
- Provide technical guidance to production and quality teams regarding fabrics, garments, quality standards, and production-related issues.
- Lead the merchandising team while ensuring compliance with company policies and buyers' Code of Conduct (COC).
- Monitor and ensure on-time execution of all orders according to the Time and Action (T&A) plan.
- •Coordinate with the local procurement team for timely sourcing of trims and accessories while maintaining required quality standards.
- Closely monitor material inventory, production progress, quality performance, and shipment schedules.
- Assist in negotiating prices, commercial terms, and business agreements with buyers.
- Lead all merchandising activities efficiently and provide necessary guidance to team members.
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly management reports on merchandising activities and order status.
- Perform any additional duties assigned by management.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Textile Engineering
- Bachelor`s degree in Apparel Merchandising or
- B.Sc. in Textile Engineering from a recognized university.
- Educational qualifications may be relaxed for exceptionally qualified and experienced candidates.
Experience Requirements
- At least 10 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Garments
Additional Job Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of experience in merchandising within a reputed knit garments manufacturing company. At least 3 years in a managerial position.
- Applicants must be currently handling NEXT buyer accounts in a reputed knit garments manufacturing company
- Additional Requirements
- Proven track record of successfully handling export orders independently for Next Buyer.
- Strong knowledge of knit garments production, fabrics, trims, costing, and merchandising processes.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with buyers, liaison offices, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
