Job Description / Responsibility
- Job Summary
- The General Manager – Audit is responsible for leading the internal audit function across all business units of Jamuna Group. The role ensures strong internal control systems, regulatory compliance, effective risk management and financial integrity across the organization. The GM – Audit will oversee audit planning, execution, reporting and follow-up of corrective actions while supporting senior management in strengthening governance and operational efficiency.
- Key Responsibilities –
- Develop and implement the annual internal audit plan covering all business units.
- Establish and maintain effective internal control systems to safeguard company assets and ensure operational efficiency.
- Conduct financial, operational, compliance and special audits across different departments and projects.
- Review accounting records, financial statements, procurement processes and inventory management to ensure accuracy and transparency.
- Identify financial irregularities, fraud risks and control weaknesses and recommend corrective measures.
- Ensure compliance with Bangladesh laws, taxation rules and corporate governance policies.
- Prepare and submit detailed audit reports with actionable recommendations.
- Monitor and follow up on the implementation of audit findings and corrective actions.
- Evaluate and improve risk management processes within the organization.
- Lead, supervise and develop the internal audit team, including task allocation and performance monitoring.
- Any other activities as & when required by the management.
Educational Requirements
- Master of Business Studies (MBS) in Accounting
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Accounting
- CA/CC certification or equivalent professional qualification required.
Experience Requirements
- At least 17 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Garments, Group of Companies, Manufacturing (FMCG), Manufacturing (Light Engineering and Heavy Industry), Shopping mall, Spinning, Textile
