Job Description / Responsibility
- Context:
- Applications are invited from qualified, skilled and professional Staff Nurse in IAHS-H on the terms and conditions mentioned below:
- Job Responsibilities:
- To ensure the high-quality care of the patients and their needs are met promptly.
- To monitor, assess, and record patients' conditions and vital signs.
- To administer medications, injections, and treatments as prescribed by doctors.
- To provide emotional support to patients and their families.
- To prepare patients for medical procedures or surgeries.
- To maintain accurate, detailed patient records and charts.
- To collaborate with doctors, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
- To report any changes in patient conditions to physicians.
- To educate patients and families on care plans, medication, and lifestyle changes.
- To follow protocols for infection prevention and hygiene.
- To help in managing inventory of supplies and equipment.
- To maintain compliance with hospital policies and healthcare regulations.
- To provide immediate care in emergencies
- To respond on emergencies and unexpected situations efficiently and calmly.
- To follow the hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- To prepare and submit reports on floor operations, incidents, and patient care outcomes.
- To ensure the emergency procedures are followed and staff are trained in emergency protocols.
- To maintain accurate records of incidents, staff attendance, and patient care activities.
- To implement and monitor changes aimed at enhancing the quality of care and operational efficiency.
- To provide support and guidance to concerned staff to foster a collaborative and respectful work environment.
- To execute any other duties as directed by the authority.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Nursing
- Diploma in Nursing
Experience Requirements
- At least 3 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Hospital
Additional Job Requirements
- Age At least 18 years
- Skills:
- IT Knowledge and proficiency in MS office
- Good communication skills
- Behavioural competencies: Discipline, Commitment, Team Player, Dynamic etc
- Valid registration and license from Bangladesh Nursing and Midwifery Council (BNMC)
- Ability to effectively apply knowledge on clinical skills, bedside manner, infection control, administering medication, phlebotomy, maintenance etc.
