Job Description / Responsibility
- Job Summary: Next Shield Engineering solutions is seeking a technically capable and commercially driven Manager (Sales) to manage Import and Supply chain.
- Candidate will be responsible for achieving sales targets, finding new buyers for imported equipment, tools and key systems. The goal is to develop an industrial and project-based business, coordinating with consultants and contractors, and supporting product sourcing and import-related commercial activities.
- The position requires a combination of technical sales experience, market-development capability, negotiation skills, and practical knowledge of importing industrial products into Bangladesh.
- Key Responsibilities
- Sales and business development.
- Generate leads from industrial factories, contractors, consultants, developers, utilities, government projects, and commercial establishments and local suppliers.
- Conduct regular meetings with clients, consultants, contractors, project developers, and procurement teams.
- Prepare technical proposals, quotations, BOQs, product comparisons, presentations, and commercial offers.
- Follow up on tenders, inquiries, quotations, purchase orders, and contract negotiations.
- Maintain an updated sales pipeline, customer database, opportunity tracker, and sales forecast.
- Develop new territories, customer segments, dealer networks, and strategic business accounts.
- Monitor competitor products, pricing, project activity, market trends, and customer requirements.
- Coordinate with technical, procurement, finance, logistics, and installation teams to ensure successful order execution.
- Import and procurement knowledge
- Souring electrical, mechanical, power, and industrial products from overseas suppliers.
- Identify and evaluate manufacturers, authorized distributors, and international suppliers.
- Request and compare pro forma invoices, technical offers, product catalogs, delivery schedules, payment terms, and warranty conditions.
- Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, clearing and forwarding agents, banks, and internal procurement teams.
- Assist in reviewing product HS codes and identifying applicable customs duties, VAT, advance income tax, regulatory duty, supplementary duty, and other import-related charges.
- Prepare preliminary landed-cost calculations covering product price, freight, insurance, customs duties, VAT, port charges, C&F fees, inland transportation, bank charges, and other clearance expenses.
- Compare local purchase cost with imported cost to determine commercial feasibility and expected profit margin.
- Support import documentation, including pro forma invoice, commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading or airway bill, certificate of origin, insurance documents, technical certificates, and purchase orders.
- Understand the basic role of the Import Registration Certificate, trade license, TIN, BIN, LC, customs declaration, and Bill of Entry.
- Monitor shipment schedules, customs clearance status, delivery lead times, and customer commitments.
- Maintain records of supplier quotations, import costs, duty structures, shipment history, and product lead times.
- Assess foreign-exchange risk, payment terms, LC costs, and working-capital requirements.

Educational Requirements
- Bachelor/Honors
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. Consideration on educational qualification will be made if the candidate has useful previous experience.
- Candidates with sales experience will receive preference.
- Training or certification in sales, procurement, supply-chain management, international trade, or import-export operations will be an advantage.

- Minimum 2 years of experience in technical sales, industrial sales, electrical equipment sales, project sales, or business development.
- Industrial equipment and engineering materials.
- EPC, construction, factory, utility, or infrastructure projects.
- Practical experience with overseas sourcing or importation of industrial products will be an advantage.
- Required Skills
- Strong technical sales and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation ability.
- Ability to understand electrical and industrial product specifications.
- Ability to prepare quotations, BOQs, proposals, sales reports, and commercial comparisons.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email, and internet-based research.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD or electrical drawings will be an advantage.
- Ability to prepare Excel-based landed-cost, quotation, and sales-pipeline models.
