Job Description / Responsibility
- Job Context:
- Source Of Agro is an agriculture-focused company providing agricultural machinery, equipment, agricultural products, and related solutions. We are looking for a responsible, experienced, and result-oriented Purchase Officer to manage purchasing activities, supplier relationships, quotation & price negotiation, procurement records, and purchase, delivery & material coordination.
- Job Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage purchase requisitions, purchase orders and related documents.
- Identify and communicate with suppliers/vendors for required products, materials, spare parts and other items.
- Collect quotations from suppliers and compare price, quality, delivery time and payment terms.
- Negotiate with suppliers to obtain competitive prices and favorable terms.
- Ensure timely procurement of required materials according to company requirements.
- Follow up on pending purchase orders and supplier deliveries.
- Maintain proper purchase records, supplier information and related documents.
- Coordinate with Accounts, Store, Production, Service and other relevant departments regarding purchase requirements.
- Verify received materials against purchase orders, invoices and delivery documents.
- Develop and maintain good relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Monitor market prices and identify reliable suppliers and alternative sources.
- Report any major issue, delay, shortage or quality problem to Management without delay.
- Perform other purchase-related duties assigned by Management.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Supply Chain Management, Management, Marketing
- Candidates with relevant professional experience will be preferred.
Experience Requirements
- 2 to 5 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Agro based firms (incl. Agro Processing/Seed/GM), Agro based Startup, Farming, Livestock, Supply Chain
Additional Job Requirements
- Age 25 to 35 years
- Only Male
- Good knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word and basic office applications.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with suppliers and internal departments.
- Good analytical and decision-making ability.
- Ability to maintain purchase-related documents and records accurately.
- Honest, responsible and proactive attitude.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
